TASM Lab - The Big Picture
Many of my art teachers in Kalamazoo were merely old mothers who managed to get an art degree from Western (much like myself). As it goes, they were never particularlly good, plus they were sensitive to non-"g" rated material. Although this rendering is tame compared to many of my other pieces, I was told that this was inappropriate for school as well. The painting was supposed to be of God portrayed as a baker. The offensive part, I was told, was how casually his foot was laid forward. Go figure. Its in pastels and probably finished in 1991.
