Hudson Debacle News - Its old!
November 28, 2002
NEW RECORD ALMOST RELEASED - THD DEAD IN THE WATER
The new record is almost out. You can download some songs at our PAGE. Or check out the artwork at the SNAPS page.
Our show, in July, if I remember correctly, was a boatload of fun. We played two sets at the fashionable 608, playing almost every song we knew. They had Karaoke afterwards, which is always much fun. We have it on video tape as well. I look like a shmoo but sing like a bird.
The 608 closed a few days later.
In August we finished our second and potentially last CD over at Che Faison. It features 10 new sweet Hudson Debacle songs. It will be out very very soon on a very limited release. We're really happy with it. Look for it in January, maybe.
The band has broken up. Xavi has scored a sweet new job in Milwaukee measuring gravity waves. Dr. Beck is leaving in mere days to Washington DC to consult congress on issues of science. Dave and I will still be around and might make another band next year. We are all trying to make plans to purchase a THD campus sometime around 2012 so we can get back together.
Also, the hudsondebacle.com is temporarily or permantly shut down. For the meantime or forever it will be a branch off of tasmlab.com.
In the meantime, we'll be posting some new songs and updates here! So watch the fuck out.

THE HUDSON DEBACLE TO PLAY 608 - LAST SHOW EVER - THD TO RECORD
Some quick news - Everyone must come see the Hudson Debacle's LAST SHOW EVER at the 608 in Somerville. July 7th, 6:30 PM, $3. We are breaking up (at least in our current config) after two years, as Xavi is leaving for Milwaukee to study gravity waves. Info on the bar and show are at www.bar608.com . We are opening up for Karaoke (seriously!)
The Hudson Debacle will also be going into the studio to record thier second record in mid-July. Look for it via friends and the web in the months to follow.

TT's SWEET - DEBACLE TO TAKE 608 - DR BECK GOES TO WASHINGTON
Yow! The Hudson Debacle had a fabulous show at TT's a couple weeks back. About 40 friends showed and a good time was had by all. Photos of the show are HERE . We had a crazy lady dance on stage. Really.
We also had ANOTHER party at my house which was very nice. Chris didn't come, but we called him by phone. He was in Montana.
Our next show is strongly penciled in at the fashionable 608 in Somerville on June 5th. Excellent!
Holy moly! Mr. Simens is now doctah! Xavi has successfully defended his PhD and is on his way to hoodsville. Xavi's so smart, he got brains to spare for everybody. Whoa!
Dr. Beck, in a rarified honor, has been accepted in the Congressional Science Fellowship. He'll be advising congress on science issues. Holy shit! But that also means he'll be moving to Washington. What will happen to the Hudson Debacle? Will they replace Chris? Will they move to DC with him? Stay tuned.

CD RELEASED AND FOR SALE - ROCKMEN TO PLAY TT'S IN CAMBRIDGE
Yow! The Hudson Debacle's new (and first) CD is out now! Titled "Rockmen to a Faraway Nowhere", it contains 14 of the Debacle's contagious songs. It was recorded last July by Jere Faison at Infinity Studios. It has pictures of us and new artwork by me. All must BUY NOW NOW NOW . Or download some of it for free HERE .
Fresh off the presses, TT the Bear's Place took the leap and booked the Hudson Debacle for a nice show on Wednesday April 10th. We'll be going on at around 8:45, and opening for Mason's Sleepwalkers, Tracy Husky, and Stand. Cover is $4 and the show is 21 + (I think). Please come.
Otherwise, the work cycle is re-peaking with everyone working extended hours. Xavi defends his PhD in two weeks. Chris just returned from Indianapolis AND the Netherlands. We've learned six new songs since "Rockmen", the last being "stupid saturday" penned by D. Austin Nash. Jeff got an office with a WINDOW. Thanks!

HUDSON DEBACLE STARTS DEVELOPING ITS NEW WEBSITE!
After two years of practice, and a whopping four live shows, the Hudson Debacle has decided to launch our website. This is finally getting done because we promised it on our forthcoming CD. Dave and I ordered the service from Centralized hosting finally after owning the URL for almost two years. I don't expect the site to be immeadiately exciting, but I think in time it will grow up. Don't forget to go to TASM Lab to see my other sweet web site. The development will be done by all four members, so hopefully all of our individual color and spirit will shine through. Eat shit.

everything is enchanted. enchantment is the more melodic synonym of entropic gravity touching closer to its etheric nature as you see it takes the cemetary out of the song in essence linguistically. take, for example, my radio. it's an inexpensive cd player and am/fm model with no tape player and no clock- i had the option to let my mom get me a pricier model because it was a birthday gift but the other model was unaesthetic. the brand name printed on it demanded attention. this little guy doesn't ask me to look at it. after my mom bought it for me i gave it back then bought it off her, which sounds like nonsense maybe but thats what i had to do for it to be mine. now its in my aparment sitting on the microwave, plugged into the wall (the radio is, not the microwave), but i never use it, nor do i intend to. i never turn it on. i don't own any cds and i'm not interested in the radio stations. it's just important, for some reason, that that thing is there. it's existence and presence in my apartment in and of itself is the manifested expression of the radio station i'm listening to, the radio, at least that part of it that is there merely to act as a mental reference point to the radio, to itself, to the essence of the here and now that is the true raw nature of time as it would otherwise be forgotten in the false context of memory. there is no music that is richer than this. there is no signal stronger than silence as all sound is contained within it. everything is enchanted by silence. the strength of an existences enchantment is measured by the strength of its silence. this is true for all of existence including within the context of music as expressed in the wake of silence.

there's obviously a direct connection between time travel and the dimensions. when a person time travels the first thing that happens is that they effectively erase their original timeline, so there has to be somewhere for te traveller to be wen their originating timeline is gone, and that is the dimensions/dimensional existance, which is the same as the place refered to as the other side, which is accessable by degree of indisposal to physicality, of course. it i by order of the cessation of interest in the expression of the local timeline that the traveller is imparted visibility within this field, and this process may be expressed in varying degrees of speed. the traveller for example may wish to sift bulk from their observed expression or to purge it, perhaps in haste, which would lengthen the process, as more bulk would then be created while attempting to escape entropic gravity which no one can do on the other side or on this one.
