I am an Overbooster

The Overbooster was born out of a doodle on a napkin that was integrated into a Four-Peace flyer. Four-Peace were a heavy metal band out between 1990 and 1993. Four Peace was a play on words, because thier were 4 members (hence four PIECE) and they also supported the abolishment of war (hence FOR PEACE). There slogan was "if one man can start a war, four can end it". We always thought that was a bit ambitious, but then we all had our heads in clouds those days.

The flyer looked like this (click on it for a better view):

As it went, this flyer went out, everyone came to the party and the image stuck for the remainder of Overman's short career. As you may see, the Overbooster is generally unpleasant, with reappearing themes of distaste and vulgarity. At his worst he sexually assaulted women, at the other worst he's just immature.

I have selected seven or so of my favorite Overman show flyers. This isn't exhaustive by any means, but these probably are the best. Enjoy.

Hi Craniac,

No, it's not a secret but rather just never discussed. There's a great sign heading on the cape that says "Mashpee Sandwich" (an exit for two cape towns) and I always thought that sounded like a terrible lunch item. It may have even been the original first name.
